I was born and raised in eastern NC and graduated from John A. Holmes High School in Edenton. I attended East Carolina University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hispanic Studies and later a Masters in School Administration. I began teaching Spanish in Martin County in 2007 and taught for ten years in Robersonville and Williamston before I became the assistant principal at Riverside Middle School. In the fall of 2019, I came to NERSBA as the Director of Testing and Technology. I look forward to continuing to serve students and families in this area I call home.
