All NERSBA scholars are expected to complete Volunteer Hours each semester. Days are designated in the calendar for Volunteer Day tasks to be completed.
NERSBA Volunteer Days are incorporated into the NERSBA calendar. You are required to complete at least 6 hours of volunteering for this scheduled day. NERSBA is committed to providing opportunities for you to be a productive member of your community and helping those individuals in need. The requirements for this assignment are beyond just doing your regular chores at home or work-related responsibilities. They require you to go into your community and assist others who are in need. Over the course of the school year, you are required to complete at least 18 volunteer hours. You can volunteer in more than one place to complete these hours. Please see the chart below and have your supervisor sign to verify that you completed those hours, as well as your parent/guardian. In addition, you will need to provide a description of what you did and what you learned from the experience. This should be at least 1 page in length for each opportunity/location you volunteered.
Documentation is DUE within 3 weeks of each date (see below).In addition, you may also submit these hours into AET to count towards your SAE requirements as outlined in your Ag Class.
