Donna Matthews

Donna Matthews lives in Bethel, NC with her husband, Clay. They have two grown sons. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English Education with a minor in French from Campbell University and her MAEd in English Education at East Carolina University. Her career began in 1987 as an English teacher at New Bern High School then transitioned to South Central High School and North Pitt High School until retiring in June of 2017. She also taught courses at Craven Community College, Technical College of the LowCountry, and ECU at various times over her teaching career. After retirement she returned to Pitt County Schools in various positions including remediation, facilitator, and testing coordinator. Mrs. Matthews joined NERSBA in August 2025 as the SIS Coordinator and Data Manager. She is actively involved at her church, Hickory Grove OFWB. She enjoys reading, camping, and putting puzzles together. She looks forward to assisting staff, parents, and students with their Infinite Campus needs.
