Math Competition

The NC State Regional Mathematics Contest was held on March 23, 2023 at Elizabeth City State University. Seventeen students from The NERSBA Early College participated in Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Comprehensive. Students were able to participate both individually and as a team in the different divisions. The NERSBA Early College had teams for both the Level 1 and Level 2 divisions where those students in Level 1 placed 1st. Those students were Chanse Killy, William Watson, Makenzi Horn, Aidyn Briley, Saylor Swain, Yasmine Hollis, and Kahleal Webb. The Level 2 students were Luke Rieck, Rowan Savary, Liliana Gonzalez, and Shaniya Hunter. Shaniya placed 6th and will participate at the state level. The Level 3 students were Brian Cruz, Jacob Hernandez, and Seth Flanders. The Comprehensive students were Amani Johnson, Marti Swain, and Carlos Coates.
